New Year’s Resolutions

I resolved this year that I would try to get back into the habit by posting a new post on my blog every day. I’m already 4 days into the new year, and I still haven’t even written anything. Part of the problem, I think, is that I often have a lot of little ideas for topics I could write about but none of them seem worthy for publication, or too many seem like good ideas, so I don’t really know where to start.

What I wanted to do was start to write before January, so that I would always be a day or two ahead. Oh well. I spent too many nights between Christmas and New Year’s playing PUBG in the evening.

Since we’re on the subject of resolutions, some other goals I had this year was to get more sleep, eat a little healthier, and take better care of my health overall. A couple of months ago I saw a doctor for the first time in many years. She put me on pills which were supposed to lower my cholesterol. Then, I ran out of the pills and called the doctor’s office, but they never responded to my request for a prescription refill. I guess I should try calling again, but now I am a little embarrassed that I waited this long and frustrated that they didn’t call me back. I mean, what was I supposed to do, nag them a hundred times a day? I’ve been busy living my life and eating tasty desserts during the holidays.

I will probably give them a call back.

Another resolution is to read more. I’ve really fallen off the wagon when it comes to reading books. It’s a shame, too, because I literally have two kindles so I should at least be checking out e-books. I just haven’t found the time yet to sit down and do that.
